Candlesticks from Israel
In Jewish homes, two candlesticks are lit to mark the start of Sabbath on Friday evenings. The Menorah, a 7-branched candelabra, is the symbol of the State of Israel. It is said to symbolize the Burning Bush in Moses' time. The Hanukkah Menorah holds 8 candles plus an extra holder for lighting the other candles.
